Chinese New Year is considered a major holiday for the Chinese and has had influence on the lunar new year celebrations of its geographic neighbors. This is celebrated from January 21st to Feburary 20, making the festival the longest in the Chinese calendar. This is also a occassion for family get-together, the celebration includes decorating the house, traditional dragon dances , and fireworks.
