Rambutan Tropical Fruit Products

Rambutan is a tropical fruit grown in Vietnam, Indonesia, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Malaysia, and some other areas of Southeast Asia. The peak season for rambutan in Thailand is May to September. The fruit is slightly bigger than a golf ball in size and is round or oval in shape . Rambutan fruit resembles tiny sea urchins and has a thin, leathery rind covered with multiple tubercles which look like spines with a curve at the tip. Inside, the juicy flesh is usually white or rose tinted. Rambutan possesses a pleasant sweet taste. It may be readily incorporated into smoothies, juice applications, ice cream, sorbets , jams and jellies, yogurts etc.
