Storage
Benefits of Mangoes

Storage
Proper storage is important to ensure that the fruit stays fresh and to prevent spoilage. The storage requirements vary depending upon the variety. If the mangoes are hard and green, they should be placed in a brown paper bag for a few days to ripen. They should be stored at room temperature and away from the sun until they ripen. Mangoes generally have a shelf life of 1 to 2 weeks. Once ripe, they can be stored in the refrigerator. Mangoes can also be frozen. Freezing them makes their skin black but inner flesh will stay in good condition.
