Iced tea, fruit punch, sports drinks, energy drinks they might sound like healthy, thirst-quenching choices, but most are far from it. Research shows that American adults consume an average of 22 teaspoons of added sugars a day (about 15 percent of daily calories!). Thats no surprise; a 20-ounce bottle of regular soda contains 15 teaspoons of added sugars.
